What you think you become

"Your mind acts as a prediction engine, rewiring neural pathways and regulating your physiological health based on your dominant thoughts and mindsets" (national library of medicine).

The power our thoughts hold, has in the recent years been backed by psychology and neuroscience. We now know that our brain is actually elastic, meaning it is formable. Our brain physically changes based on what we think. HOW MINDBLOWING IS THAT!

Once we have thought the same thought over and over again and given it believability, it is very likely to just repeat itself. The more we repeat one thoughtpattern, the stronger the neuropathway gets, and the more automatic the thought becomes, often without us realizing what the thought is. It goes so fast, and we are just stuck with a bad feeling, not knowing why we suddenly feel low. The same counts for if we have positive thoughts.

"If you adopt a mindset that stress is enhancing rather than debilitating, your body physically performs better under pressure, according to research from" Standford university. - LINK: https://news.stanford.edu/stories/2018/06/four-ways-human-mind-shapes-reality

The thing is: Would it be so easy as that we pick which thoughts are allowed to get our attention or not, we all would do it. But that is not how it works. That thoughts enter our mind we have no control of, but believing in them and having certain associations with them, that can effect us in a negative way.

The negative thoughts we believe in have often sneaked their way into being such a big part of our thinking patterns because they have been programmed into our subconscious mind. The subconscious reacts to feeling and meaning, not logic. So if we somehow picked up that we are "wrong" or that we are in the way because of an event which happened before, our subconscious saves this, and then creates the same feeling if triggered by something that reminds it of that event. Not being aware of all these loop holes, we can easily end up living a life run by our programs and triggers, as those then determine the choices we make.

That is of course unfortunate. However, once we get more aware of our programming, we can work with those and release them. Maybe they served us at one stage but now they are more of a hindrance to our well-being.

Hypnotherapy is a good method for looking at those unconscious patterns, and then through hypnosis remove/change the meaning which the subconscious has created, so we can be more neutral and less effected by the thoughts and feelings popping up.
